EEVblog #568 - Solderless Breadboard Capacitance
Why people recommend it
Dave Jones measures the parasitic capacitance between solderless breadboard rows, cited when stray picofarads upset crystals, small capacitors or fast circuits.
In their words
2-3pF row to row, and 20pf rail to rail, but checkout this video...

According to Dave from EEVBlog, who measured the the parasitic capacitance on several different breadboards at 1kHz, it's about 2pF between lead columns and 20pF between power rails.
